ADR UK is made up of three national partnerships (ADR Scotland, ADR Wales, and ADR NI), and the Office for National Statistics (ONS), which ensures data provided by UK Government bodies is accessed by researchers in a safe and secure form with minimal risk to data holders or the public.


Data access services are provided by the data centres in ADR Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and by the Secure Research Service of the Office for National Statistics.

Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children

ALSPAC is a multi-generational study that began as a pregnancy/birth cohort. In 1991 and 1992, 14,500 pregnant women living in and around Bristol were recruited into the study. Detailed data have been collected on these women and their partners (the original parents, known as G0) and their children (the index participants, G1). Bristol Cats: A Birth cohort of kittens owned by UK households

The Bristol Cat Study is a pioneering longitudinal study of cat health, welfare and behaviour. Between 2010 and 2013, 2,203 kittens aged between 8-16 weeks old were recruited to this unique cohort study.
