The Bristol Cat Study is a pioneering longitudinal study of cat health, welfare and behaviour. Between 2010 and 2013, 2,203 kittens aged between 8-16 weeks old were recruited to this unique cohort study. The British Regional Heart Study (BRHS) is a prospective study in middle-aged men drawn from general practices in 24 British towns, recruited in 1978-1980. It was set up to determine the factors responsible for the considerable variation in coronary heart disease, hypertension and stroke in Great Britain.
