Astbury Biostructure Laboratory
The ABSL is a flagship ~£17M investment by the University of Leeds (with an additional ~£1M of funding from the Wellcome Trust) in cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) for structural molecular biology and biomedicine. It was formally opened in January 2017 by Dr Jeremy Farrar, Director of the Wellcome Trust.
